                         (1)    HIRAKUD DAM

  Hirakud dam is constructed in 1960s and located in sambalpur district of Odisha . Hirakud dam is on Mahanadi River.
Hirakud Dam is the longest Dam in Asia ,is about 4 km in length . It is one the famous tourist places in Odisha .The best time to visit Hirakud dam is August -October because the enitre area is filled by water is enhance the beauty of the surroundings of Hirakud Dam . This is the perfect place for outing and family picnic . Moreover the sight visible from the top of mountain is so beautiful.

                            (2)     GANDHI MINAR & NEHRU MINAR  

There are two towers located on each side Hirakud dam . The towers are Gandhi Minar & Neheru Minar  named as two greatest personalities of India . The towers are builted as such high so that anyone can see the whole surrounding from those towers . Gandhi Minar is on north side of Hirakud Dam while Nehru Minar is on south side of the Dam .
